Art for me is an expression of love. My love for New Zealand, for family and for my relationship with art.
I have been consumed with the beauty of the coastline from a young age and take pleasure from my ability to convey that to canvas so that all can share in the peaceful and tranquil ambiance that art can provide.
I was 10 when my father took me to my first exhibition in Te Kuiti. It was here I lost myself in an autumnal scene of local tree trunks. I knew then the beauty art could convey.
I completed my first commission at 16 years of age. It was then I realised why art would be my future, why I was so drawn to it as an expression of my very person; taking the beauty of New Zealand and harnessing it to bring pleasure to others.
I am driven by the beauty of this country and the power its magnificent vistas have to leave us in awe. I actively search for those spots unique to New Zealand in order to bring them to life on canvas.
I am also happy to work on commissions brought to me by those who have discovered their own little piece of paradise. My work can be purchased as an original or as select prints on request.
